Meet Our Team
Megan is happy to assist clients in transforming the Venue at Flying Horse Ranch into their dream event space. Connecting clients with the right vendors for their event, and ensure that planning an event at The Venue is a breeze.
Megan was born in Florida and has spent most of her years between the beautiful state of Colorado and in a small beach town on the East Coast of Florida.
Megan and her family relocated to Colorado in the Summer of 2013 to further her Event Planning career as well as enjoy all this beautiful state has to offer. Megan says “Being a part of The Venue at Flying Horse Ranch is my dream job, I feel so lucky to be able to showcase this venue, the best part of my time here is watching a bride or client’s face light up because this is exactly what they were looking for!” With 9 years of wedding planning, and event coordinating under her belt, she is thrilled to take this next step in her professional career with Flying Horse Ranch.
When Megan isn’t at the ranch she loves spending time with her Husband, 6-year-old son Gunner, and their hilarious dog Pixie.
Michael is the Ranch Herdsman and responsible for horse and cattle management.

After graduating high school, Michael attended and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he obtained a double degree in Animal Science & Production and Management and Grazing Livestock Systems. Michael was very active with the University’s annual bull sales and is certified in A.I. Management.
In the most recent years, Michael has worked on a large commercial cow/calf operation in the Sandhills of Nebraska where he gained valuable work experience that he brings to Flying Horse Ranch.

Day of Coordinator
Michelle is happy to assist clients in making every detail of their event come together, preparing The Venue so it is exquisite and welcoming for each guest, and ensuring that each detail of your wedding day is perfectly executed.
Michelle was born and raised in Colorado Springs.
She has coordinated events across the United States as well as Germany and Singapore. With five years of experience, she came to Flying Horse Ranch at the beginning of 2017. For Michelle, the best part is hearing the vision for a wedding day and then seeing it come together. She loves the magical moments of creating something just the way the bride and groom pictured.
If you’re still searching for a Day of Coordinator, Michelle is happy to help manage every detail for your special day from set up to vendor and timeline management. Let her take the stress so you can enjoy the start of your happily ever after.
When Michelle isn’t at the ranch she loves drinking hot chocolate, it doesn’t matter what time of year, while writing/rewriting her book.
Water is plentiful on the ranch, including the seasonal flow of Iron Gulch, the spring-fed Crowfoot Creek and three windmills, four wells and ten stock ponds. The magnificent setting of the ranch is complemented by equally magnificent improvements.
The impressive Venue was designed by Michael Barber Architecture, an award-winning Denver firm, and is in the Plains Victorian style. Its 14,000-square feet include an impressive Great Room with gas fireplace, complete bridal suite, formal buffet room, ballroom, gourmet kitchen, and an eight-sided, two-story breakfast nook. This remarkable Venue also includes a large grooms’ quarters with wet bar, full guest suite and two additional guest bedrooms, each with a separate bath.
First-rate equestrian facilities put Flying Horse Ranch into a league of its own. A 245x160-foot indoor riding arena is the centerpiece of the Flying Horse Ranch’s equestrian improvements.
Completed in 2004, it includes a dirt/sand surface, elevated announcer’s booth with sound system, natural gas heaters, LED lighting and abundant windows for natural lighting. Connected to the riding arena is a 120x60-foot extension housing offices, restrooms, kitchen and an auction/sale ring. This facility is tailor-made for horse events or sales in first-class fashion.
Additional horse facilities include a training round pen and outdoor roping arena. The ranch is also well-equipped to handle cattle, with a cow barn that includes a vet room and show area. A hay barn, grain shed and equipment shed completes the long list of outstanding improvements on the ranch.
Only nine miles from Interstate 25, Flying Horse Ranch is remarkably convenient to both Denver (38 miles) and Colorado Springs (24 miles). From airports at both cities, the rest of the country and even much of the world is within reach.
