We invite you to come explore the breathtaking scenery & wildlife at Flying Horse Ranch and “Leave The City Behind”. Offering riding programs suited to all levels of riders and abilities, the Riding horses at Flying Horse Ranch are chosen for their temperament, disposition and athleticism. We will pair riders with the horse that best suits their ability and riding preferences.
Whether you come to ride the property on one of our guided trail or group rides or to attend one of our clinics, you are sure to walk away feeling fulfilled!
Ride the ranch has closed for the winter season. We are now taking reservations for the summer 2017 season.
Guided Trail Rides: Explore what Flying Horse Ranch has to offer on its over 1,400- acre Black Angus cattle ranch
1 ½ Hour Ride – $75
Depart the Ranch headquarters through the spectacular meadow, continuing on past several ponds, a working windmill and atop to the highest point on the ranch. Here you will have breathtaking views of Pikes Peak, the Rampart Range and the entire Flying Horse Ranch property. Or you may ride past the horse pastures onto the east side of the ranch. See neighboring working ranches and ride through draws and pine trees along the way to the largest pond on the property and then returning back through the spectacular meadow
3 Lunch Hour Ride – $175
Ride the eastern line of the property to see wildlife an abundance of wild flowers. Circle around to head up to the view of Pikes Peak and then drop down into Tent Camp for a boxed lunch. After lunch, you will head up into the huge west meadow. Here you will see the west windmill and additional breathtaking views of the ranch and Rampart Range.
Hours of Operation
The 2016 Riding season: July 1st – October 15th (weather permitting)
Riding hours: 9am – 5pm, Thursday – Monday
Reservations are required with a 1-week or 2-week cancellation policy, depending on your group size, so we can refill your spot. Call to make your reservation and we will suit your request with our schedule.
Arrive 45 minutes prior to your reservation time to get checked in, sign a liability waiver and get paired with your riding horse. Once you enter the ranch, go to the “Visitor Check-In” door on the West side of the red & white indoor arena.
Weather systems can move into the ranch very suddenly, so should the forecast call for inclement weather, we will notify you the day of your ride to reschedule. Should a weather system come through during the duration of your ride and the Wrangler deems it not appropriate to continue the ride, the group will immediately be taken back to the headquarter staging area. Rain checks will be distributed on a case-by-case basis.
